Money, money, money. We spend money on a daily basis; we use money to pay bills, buy necessities, and of course to spend/buy things we like and want. Who doesn’t like/want money. There’s a saying that “money can’t buy happiness,” BUTTT it comes pretty darn close.
So the question is: are you maximizing the amount of money you CAN GET BACK from spending? YES YOU READ THAT CORRECTLY! You can actually earn CASH BACK from spending money. How?! I’m sure you guys have heard of Ebates, but do you actually know how it works? I didn’t know how it works until I actually started using it, and I wish I would have used it sooner because I would have earned much more cash back.
How does Ebates work? Basically you sign up for an account, download the Ebates extension button, and then shop (at participating stores) to earn cash back. It is that simple.
To be a little more specific after you have downloaded the Ebates extension button: Every time you shop somewhere online (that is participating in Ebates), the Ebates extension button will pop up in the upper corner to ask if you would like to activate it (see pic below). 
After you click activate, you would just proceed to shop like you’d normally do. After you make a purchase, you will get a certain percentage back (the percentage will depend on the website).
Can you earn Ebates from an in-store purchase? Yes you can! You will be able to link your credit card to your Ebates account, so when you shop at participating locations/stores, you will be able to earn cash back.
Can you earn Ebates from making a purchase through your phone? Yes, just download the app, browse the different stores, and click “shop” and it will directly take you to the website.
It is that easy and it works! It doesn’t cost anything nor does it have a catch. I didn’t believe it until I actually got money back from Ebates. You can either have them send you a check by mail or send the money via PayPal. Sometimes they also offer you the money in form of a gift card with an extra percentage back. You can see below how much I’ve earned since being a member. You may think that it is not a lot, but you need to realize that I’m earning money back just by spending money (that I was going to spend anyways). 
There are so many stores that participate in Ebates: Walmart, Target, Macy’s, Expedia, Bed Bath & Beyond, Finishline, Shutterfly, GNC, SEPHORA (my personal favorite because I buy a lot of makeup), etc. It is likely that your favorite store is a participating store.
